The government has decided to increase petrol prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight from 1 April to 15 April 2024. According to the details, the government has decided to jack up the price of petrol, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced for the next fortnight.
According to the notification, the petrol price has been increased by Rs. 9.66 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs. 3.32 per litre.
This brings the new price of petrol to Rs. 289.41 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will now cost Rs. 282.24 per litre.

The latest diesel and petrol prices in Pakistan will be applicable from from midnight on 1 April 2024 for the first half of the month.
In the notification, the Finance Division stated, “The price of Petrol (Motor Gasoline) has increased in the international market during the last fortnight, while the price of HSD has marginally declined. The Government has accordingly decided to revise the existing consumer prices of petroleum products.”

In the last fortnightly review, the federal government decided to maintain the petrol price in Pakistan, but announced a slight reduction in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD).
