PM Sharif calls APC today December 17, 2014

Peshawar : Following the deadly terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar on Tuesday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened an all-parties conference  ( APC ) in Peshawar today (Wednesday) and announced three-day mourning. Moreover, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has postponed his party’s countrywide protests scheduled for December 18.

Talking to media before leaving for Peshawar, PTI chief  Imran Khan stated that it is difficult time for the nation and he can imagine the level of grief the families of the victims are going through at this moment. He condemned the barbaric terrorist attack saying that “those who stoop so low, you cannot even have any words to describe what they are.” Imran Khan announced that his party has taken two decisions in the wake of this tragic incident.

PTI has postponed its scheduled talks with the government and postponed December 18 protest as well. He said a new date for the nationwide strike will be announced later. PTI chief stated that it is difficult time for the nation and he can imagine the level of grief the families of the victims are going through at this moment. Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led federal government appealed to postpone the dialogue session with PTI.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar telephoned the PTI leader Asad Umar and conveyed him the decision of postponement of talks.

RECAP 

On March 13th , 2014 – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan have agreed to continue the dialogue process with Taliban.

The agreement was reached at a meeting between the two leaders at the residence of Imran Khan in Islamabad, The Prime Minister, accompanied by Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, his Special Assistant Ifran Siddiqui and Political Secretary Asif Kirmani drove to the residence of PTI leader for the meeting.

PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi, Jehangir Tareen and Shirin Mazari were also present in the meeting, The Prime Minister said their objective is to realize the goal of peace without bloodshed.

Later talking to newsmen, Imran Khan said it is for the first time that a Government made serious efforts for peace through dialogue and achieved good results.

Imran Khan said he had a good meeting with the Prime Minister and added that efforts of Mian Nawaz Sharif for peace were appreciable.

 This is just to remind you that, PM Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan ( PTI Chief ) had discussion over TTP issue and tried to resolve it, which failed and PakArmy initiated Operation Azb e Zrb. Yesterday’s horrifying attack on Public Army School was the revenge from Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan. – Which TTP  claimed it very confidently, Now Pakistani political parties has to decide to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.

It is going to be the first time last 4 months long Dharnas that, Imran Khan will be face to face with Prime Minister Nawaz
