Supreme Court upholds stay order against Sindh local govt act

Supreme Court has upheld the stay order against Sindh Local Government Act till the 16th of this month.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case in Islamabad today.

The court ordered the Sindh Government not to transfer any department to the local government during this period.

Meanwhile‚ the court has suspended the notice of Public Accounts Committee to the Registrar Supreme Court for appearance before it.
