Karachi Police Increases Traffic Fines Starting November 1

The Karachi Traffic Police has announced a hike in the traffic fines in order to promote road safety and encourage citizens to follow traffic laws.

According to the Karachi Traffic Police’s official X account (formerly known as Twitter), the new traffic fines in them metropolis will become effective from November 1, 2023.

As per the social media post, the new traffic violation fine for over-speeding in Karachi is now Rs. 700 for motorcyclists and Rs. 1,000 for cars and jeeps.

Meanwhile, the traffic violation fine for driving on the wrong side is Rs. Rs. 2,000 for motorcyclists and Rs. 3,000 for car owners.

Similarly, the violation of the traffic signal will cost Rs. 500 to motorcyclists and Rs. 1,000 to car owners.

Driving in the wrong direction n a one-way road will incur a traffic violation fine of Rs. 2,000 for motorcyclists, while a fine of Rs. 5,000 will be charged to car owners.
