Dera Ismail Khan‚ eight people‚ including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Israrullah Khan Gandapur were killed and twenty others injured in a suicide attack at Kulachi this evening (Wednesday).
According to police the suicide bomber went to the Hujra of Israrullah Khan Gandapur for Eid greetings and blew himself up amid guests. The injured have been admitted to DHQ hospital D.I.Khan.
Police cordoned off the area and the injured were shifted to the hospital.
The President‚ the Prime Minister and Interior Minister have strongly condemned the attack.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has sought report from IG Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the incident.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah and Chief Minister Parvez Khattak have also strongly condemned the attack.
They expressed their deep grief and sorrow over the killing of Israrullah Khan Gandapur.
