Lahore Traffic Plan For Shahdara Flyover Construction

The Lahore Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic plan for the Shahdara Flyover construction in order maintain the flow of traffic in the city and avoid any inconvenience to commuters.

According to the details, the Shahdara Flyover will help improve traffic congestion is Lahore’s busy Shahdara Chowk that remains plagued with traffic jams during office hours.

The Government of Punjab has finally started the construction work for the much-awaited Shahdara Flyover and the Lahore Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic plan for the commuters.

Lahore Traffic Plan for Shahdara Flyover Construction

According to the City Traffic Police Lahore, the traffic plan will be implemented from February 18, 2023 and the Shahdara Chowk will be closed for traffic for the construction of the flyover.

Meanwhile, the Traffic Police has appointed extra wardens to ensure smooth traffic flow along the alternate routes, which are outlined below:

• Heavy, slow-moving traffic and commercial vehicles coming from Kala Shah Kaku and Kala Khatai can enter Lahore via Eastern Bypass / Motorway.
• Meanwhile, Saggian can be used by traffic coming from Faisalabad and Sheikhupura.
• There will be a diversion of all heavy vehicles coming from Begum Kot Chowk and Kala Shah Kaku.

The City Traffic Police Lahore has requested all commuters to follow the traffic plan during the construction of the Shahdara Flyover in order to avoid traffic jams and inconvenience.

The completion of the flyover will help improve the flow of traffic in the area.
