The outgoing caretaker government has decided to increase petrol prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight from 1 March 2024 to 15 March 2024. According to the details, the government has jacked the price of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next fortnight.
According to the announcement, the petrol price has been increased by Rs. 4.13 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been kept unchanged.
This brings the price of petrol to Rs. 279.75 per litre, while the new price of high-speed diesel (HSD) remains at Rs. 287.33 per litre.

The latest diesel and petrol prices in Pakistan will become effective from Friday (1 March 2024) for the first half of the month.
In a notification, the Finance Division stated, “As part of the fortnightly revision of prices of petroleum products, on the recommendation of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the Government of Pakistan has decided that the consumers prices, with effect from 1st March, 2024,”
In the last fortnightly review, the caretaker Federal Government decided to increase the petrol price in Pakistan by Rs. 2.73 per litre to Rs. 275.62 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was hiked by Rs. 8.37 per litre to Rs. 287.33 per litre.
