Madina Enclave housing scheme is illegal: CDA

ISLAMABAD: Director Regional Planning, Capital Development Authority (CDA) issued a notification of illegal housing scheme in the name of ‘Madina Enclave’ in Mouza Tumair, Zone-4, Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the notification published by CDA, no housing scheme can be floated/launched in Zone-4 by the private sponsors without the approval of CDA.

As per the provision of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Zoning Regulation 1992 amended in 2019 and Modalities & Procedures framed for Planning and Development of Private Housing Schemes in ICT Islamabad.

No Housing Scheme can be floated/launched with the permission of the Capital Development Authority, Islamabad.

The Sponsors of Madina Enclave have not obtained any approval from CDA and therefore this housing scheme is illegal/unauthorized.

Notification issued to inform General Public is therefore cautioned/warned in their own interest to refrain from making any booking/purchase of plots in the unauthorized and illegal housing schemes.

Meanwhile, Development work in residual area of Park Enclave has been restarted after Moharam Ul Haram holidays.

The pace of the work remained comparatively slow due to consecutive weekly and Ashoora holidays. However, concerned formations have been directed to expedite pace of left over development work in Park Enclave. Moreover, instructions have also been issued to expedite test pilling of the bridge being constructed in the Park Enclave area. In this context, it has been further instructed that test pilling and allied work of the bridge including protection and earthwork be carried out simultaneously to ensure early construction of the bridge.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) continued its operation against illegal constructions and encroachments on Wednesday. During action taken on Wednesday, Enforcement teams confiscated several trucks of encroachment material after removing encroachments from G.T Road. Earlier these encroachers were served notices for removal of encroachments voluntarily however, after expiry of deadline action was taken accordingly.

Similarly, during other operations, 02 illegally constructed rooms in sector I-8/2 were also demolished while 02 trucks encroachment material was confiscated from Faizabad area and sector I-10.
