ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Information and Broadcast removed Pakistan Television (PTV) Managing Director col. (retd) Hassan Immad Mohammadi over 20 seconds mistake.
Col. (retd) Hassan Immad Mohammadi was appointed on 22nd October 2018 as Managing Director PTV.
The removal of Mr.Mohammadi came following Prime Minister’s live address in China displayed BEGGING instead of BEIJING for 20 seconds.

The notification of Hassan’s removal underlines that the decision is taken after approval of Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhry.

Pakistan Television’s official twitter handler regretted the error
“Today, during a live address of the prime minister during his ongoing visit to China, a typographical error took place, which remained on screen for 20 seconds and later removed. This incident is regrettable. Strict action has been initiated under rules against concerned officials.”
The costly 20 seconds made the government sack its own appointed Managing Director with immediate effect.
