Metro Bus Service Suspended in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

The Metro Bus Service in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will remain closed for the entire day today, 26th August 2024, in observance of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

The decision was made to facilitate the peaceful conduct of religious processions and to ensure the safety of commuters during this important religious occasion.

The Chehlum marks the 40th day after the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and is a day of mourning and reflection for millions of Muslims around the world. In Pakistan, large processions are held to commemorate the event, often leading to road closures and heightened security measures.

Authorities have advised citizens to plan their travel accordingly and have assured that the Metro Bus Service will resume its regular operations on 27th August 2024. Additional public transport arrangements have been made to accommodate those affected by the suspension.

Commuters are urged to stay informed through official channels for any further updates.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
