The entrance to Murree has been closed due to heavy snowfall taking place in the area. The announcement was made by the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi on Twitter.
“Due to heavy snowfall in Muree, it was decided to close the entrance to Murree in order to deal in the emergency situation.” said DC Rawalpindi on Twitter. “District administration and police mobilized to evacuate those trapped in traffic.”

Murree to Nathiagali Road Closed
According to the spokesperson of the Galyat Development Authority, the Murree to Nathiagali road has also been closed after heavy snowfall in the area has led to an avalanche and trapped tourist in the area. “The main highway is closed due to avalanche after heavy snowfall in Galyat.”
He also added that road clearance was not possible at the time due to extreme weather conditions.
