According to the details, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has proposed dates for summer vacations in schools from 18 July 2021 till 2 August 2021, however, the decision was opposed by the Punjab Government

The Punjab Government while opposing the decision suggested that summer vacations should be given for one month from 2 July to 2 August.

The decision regarding summer vacations will now be taken at the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) which is scheduled to take place soon.

Meanwhile, the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has opposed the idea of summer vacations in schools for the current year while saying that all educational institutions will remain open throughout the summer months from 7am to 11am.

“The students could come to private schools in casual dress rather than in school uniforms,” said President APPSF Kashif Mirza while keeping in mind the hot weather conditions.

He added that educational institutions could move to online classes if they had the facility while the rest could continue with physical classes.
