In a tragic incident, an overseas Pakistani was killed on his way home from Islamabad Airport while resisting an armed robbery. According to the details, the victim was going home from the New Islamabad Airport with his six-year-old daughter when robbers stopped his car at a fake police check-point on Range Road in Rawalpindi.
The robbers tried to snatch the victim’s belongings and shot him when he resisted their attempts. However, they managed to flee the scene with the victim’s hand luggage that contained foreign currency notes and other valuables.
The victim was moved to the hospital where he succumbed to his injury. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the matter and they are collecting evidence from the crime scene, which includes CCTV footage from cameras in the area.
