ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has launched the first automated National Jobs Portal (NJP) in Pakistan to curb unemployment in the country and help citizens find opportunities.
This is a commendable effort by the Federal Government enabling people to find employment through a centralized system with the help of the National Job Portal.

About Pakistan National Jobs Portal
The National Jobs Portal is developed by the National Information and Technology Board (NITB) and aims to help the unemployed especially young people find job opportunities in the public and private sector.
Citizens can get access to the latest information regarding the availability of public / government jobs and private sector openings directly allowing them to connect with potential employers.
According to the NITB, federal departments and agencies will be advertising on the National Job Portal for any openings allowing citizens to apply for relevant jobs online from their home.

There are a total of 12 categories currently listed on the National Job Portal and these include:

- Sign-up on the National Job Portal at https://njp.gov.pk/.
- Complete your resume / CV.
- Search for relevant jobs.
- Apply!
How to sign-up on the National Job Portal?
The sign-up process is fairly simple and requires very basic information which includes:
- CNIC Number.
- Email Address.
The rest of the information will be filled out while building your Resume / CV on the portal.
Although the Pakistan National Jobs Portal is available to citizens, there are only a handful of vacancies by NITB which are most contract jobs and no other company has currently listed any job openings which means that works is still required on the portal. NOTE: The only way to apply for government jobs or private vacancies is through the National Job Portal website and there is no contact information or postal address available.
