ISLAMABAD: The petrol price in Pakistan has been increased from 1 August 2021 till 15 August 2021 on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan after reviewing the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), said Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill.
According to the announcement, the petrol price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs. 1.71 per litre bringing the new rate at Rs. 119.80 per litre while high-speed diesel (HSD) price in Pakistan has not been increased keeping the rate at Rs. 116.53 per litre for the first half of August.
Meanwhile, prices of Kerosene oil has been increased by Rs. 0.35 bringing the new rate at Rs. 87.49 per litre while the price of light-speed diesel (LDO) has not been increased and will remain at Rs. 84.67 per litre.
The price of light-speed diesel has not been increased and the rate stands at Rs. 84.67.

“According to the data of July 26, the price of petrol in 27 countries of the world is lower than Pakistan and in 140 countries it is higher than Pakistan.” said Shahzab Gill on Twitter.

دنیا میں پٹرول کی اوسط قیمت 1.19 ڈالر فی لٹر لیکن پاکستان میں پٹرول کی قیمت 0.72 ڈالر فی لٹر ہے
دنیا میں پٹرولیم مصنوعات میں اضافہ 47% ہوا لیکن پاکستان میں 11%ہوا
“It may be recalled that out of the 27 countries where prices are lower than Pakistan, most of the countries are self-sufficient in their petroleum products.” he stated further while mentioning that Pakistan Government is taking almost zero tax on petroleum products.
یاد رہے کہ جن 27 ممالک میں قیمتیں پاکستان سے کم ہے ان میں سے زیادہ تر ممالک اپنی پٹرولیم مصنوعات میں خود کفیل ہیں- اس وقت پٹرولیم پراڈکٹس پر حکومت پاکستان تقریباً صفر کے قریب ٹیکس وصول کر رہی ہے۔ کرونا کی وجہ سے پوری دنیا مہنگائی کی زد میں ہیں۔

The new petrol price in Pakistan will go into effect from 1 August 2021 for the first half of the month till 15 August 2021.
