The government has decided to increase petrol prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight from 16 April to 30 April 2024. According to the details, the government has decided to jack up the price of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next fortnight.
According to the notification, the petrol price has been increased by Rs. 4.53 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been hiked by Rs. 8.14 per litre.
This brings the new price of petrol to Rs. 293.94 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will now cost Rs. 290.38 per litre.

The latest diesel and petrol prices in Pakistan will be applicable from midnight on 16 April 2024 for the remainder of the month.
In the notification, the Finance Division stated, “The prices of Petroleum products have seen an increasing trend in the international market during the last fortnight. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market.”

In the last fortnightly review, the federal government increased the petrol price in Pakistan by Rs. 9.66 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was slashed by Rs., 3.32 per litre.
