Petrol Prices in Pakistan Remains Unchanged

The federal government has decided to keep the petrol price steady for the next two weeks. However, they have slightly reduced the price of high-speed diesel.

According to the latest notification, the price of petrol will remain Rs 252.63 per liter, the same as the previous fortnight. On the other hand, the price of high-speed diesel has dropped by Rs 2 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs 254.64 per liter.

These new prices will be effective from May 16 to May 31.

Earlier, on April 30, the government had cut the prices of both petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter. At that time, petrol was set at Rs 252.63 per liter, while diesel was priced at Rs 256.64 per liter.

Meanwhile, on April 15, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the government would not further reduce fuel prices. Instead, he explained that the benefits of falling global oil prices would be passed on to the public through development projects. He emphasized that the savings from lower international fuel costs would be used for public welfare initiatives.

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
