Petrol Prices Likely to See Reduction From 16 May

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended a reduction in the Petrol Prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight from 16 May 2023.

According to the OGRA’s summary, it has recommended the coalition government to reduce the Petrol Price in Pakistan by Rs. 10 per litre and Diesel Price by Rs. 8 per litre.

The recommendation comes as price of crude oil has declined in the international market, reaching $77.44 per barrel in the last two weeks.

However, the final decision will be taken by the Federal Government tomorrow and new Petrol Prices in Pakistan will be applicable from 16 May 2023.

On April 30, the coalition government decided to maintain the Petrol Price in Pakistan at Rs. 282.00 per litre, while the Price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) saw reduction of Rs. 5.00 per litre. Similarly, the Price of Kerosene and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) was reduced by Rs. 10, respectively.
