PIA Plane crashed at Model Colony near Karachi airport

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane crashed at Karachi’s Model Colony minutes before landing at the Jinnah International Airport.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) it was PIA flight number PK-303 which departed from Lahore and the Airbus A320 which developed problems in the landing gear crashed at Model Colony.

The plane hit a number of houses in the residential zone while crashing and electricity to the area has been cut off according to reports.

The PIA plane caught fire after it crashed and the fire services are on the scene working to extinguish the fire.
