The premier added that every family in Punjab will be eligible for a health card in accordance with the concept of a welfare state, where every citizen has equal opportunity for growth and prosperity. He said that the State of Madina was the first in history to accept that responsibility for the society’s underprivileged segment was in the hands of the state.

PM Khan said that the Welfare State Concept is seen throughout contemporary Europe, however, it is not seen in Muslim countries as much. Denmark, Norway and Sweden were the example of welfare states given by the Prime Minister. He said these states believed in inclusive growth and had compassion for the weaker segment.

The premier added that everyone in Punjab will get Naya Pakistan Sehat Card by March 2022. “We want to ensure that everyone in rural areas has access to health care by March 2022, all families in Punjab will have health cards.” said the Prime Minister.

It is pertinent to mention that this is the second time Prime Minister Imran Khan is launching the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card in Punjab at a ceremony in Lahore.
