PM Khan third time appeals to the citizens to Pay Taxes

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan third time appeals public cooperation to stop tax evasion.

The Prime Minister Khan stated that Pakistan is stuck in ‘Debt Trap’ due to corruption and tax evasion.

The country’s debt increased from Rs. 6,000 billion to Rs. 30,000 billion in the last ten years. – PM khan added.

The Government has introduced an amnesty scheme for the citizens to declare their assets till 30 June 2019.

It is a golden chances for the people to declare their assets their stashed wealth within and abroad, gold and other assets. – PM Khan added.

PM Khan said 5500 billion rupees are needed to be collected in form of taxes this year. He further said with the cooperation of citizens sum of 8000 billion rupees can be collected each year.

ONLINE PORTAL INTRODUCED

Earlier today, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Syed Shabbar Zaidi announced that the revenue authority, in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), has introduced an online portal for the inquiry of assets.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Zaidi said that the application will not allow anyone to access the data of any other person except them.
