Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has launched the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program for poor families during these hard time due to coronavirus lockdown when many people are out of work.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation also launched an SMS service to make the application process for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program easier for the public and briefed the Prime Minister about it service.
Under this program, people will be eligible for a Rs. 12,000 cash grant to help them cope with the current financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown being observed.
We have compiled a step by step guide in both English and Urdu on the application process for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program Online via web portal to make it easier for everyone.
The lockdown in Pakistan has been extended till 14 April by the government according to the Minister for Planning Asad Umar who said that it was vital to controlling the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
During this extension, the restriction on the movement of the public will remain in place, however, goods transportation will still be allowed to take place.
