PTA Issues Notice To All Airlines Passengers [Phone Registration]

 ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued notice to various airlines regarding unregistered Mobiles. All passengers will be required to register their mobiles upon arrival.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has made it mandatory for the airlines to make necessary announcements in the planes to inform the passengers regarding the airport.


PTA to block Non Custom Paid Mobile Phones

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS). The incoming passenger will be required to register their mobile phones at the time of arrival at the airport.

The DIRBS will be placed at the arrival halls at theairport. All the airlines are required to inform their passenger to registertheir mobile phones on arrival at the Islamabad International Airport.

The step is being taken to curb the smuggling of mobile phones into the country.

  • Turkish Air
  • Thai Air
