All Pakistan Mobile Phone Union held a meeting with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to discuss the matter of PTA Phone Verification in Islamabad.
UPDATE: The Government has announced The final date of Phone Verification 20th December 2018.

A couple of days back we reported that PTA and IT ministry declined the request to delay Phone Verification, however, in a recent meeting with All Pakistan Mobile Phone Union, Government and the Business community has agreed to delay the PTA Phone verification date.
According to sources, PTA will not block the Mobile Phones after 20 October 2018.
Update: The issue was raised in the Senate’s standing committee. It was decided the people will be given a longer time period and strict rules will be applied to importers.
Earlier the Government set the deadline 20th October 2018 to verify all IMEI Numbers now gives a little relief to the business community.
