At the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) stall, a robot greeted the Chief Minister and provided information about the Dastak app. At the Information Technology University (ITU) stall, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif had a virtual tour of the Dastak Office in Arfa Karim Tower using Metaverse Technology.

The Chief Minister was informed that the app will initially offer 10 services to all citizens, including senior citizens, women, sick, and disabled individuals. These services will be delivered to their doorsteps.

Services Available

The services available through the “Maryam Ki Dastak App” include:

  • Domicile Certificate
  • E-Stamping
  • Birth Certificate
  • Death Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Divorce Certificate
  • Motor Vehicle Transfer
  • Property Tax
  • Token Tax
  • New Vehicle Registration

How to Use the Correct App

There are two similar apps on the Play Store. One is called “Dastak Facilitator,” which has been available for over a year and works only in Lahore. The newer app, called “Dastak – Doorstep Services,” allows users to select multiple cities in Punjab, including Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and others. It is not yet clear how well it works in all these cities, as there are no reviews yet.

How It Works

Citizens can order services through the Web Portal, Mobile App, or Call Center 1202. They can also track their applications using a Tracking ID. The app allows users to request various government documents such as birth/death certificates, domicile certificates, marriage certificates, e-stamping services, and new motor vehicle registrations.

To use the app, citizens need to provide necessary items like passport-size photos, CNIC, and application forms. A government agent or third-party facilitator will visit their home to collect these items and charge a delivery fee of Rs. 1200. If everything is in order, the requested document will be processed and delivered within 9 days.

Opportunities to Earn Money

Anyone can sign up to become a third-party facilitator and provide these services to citizens at home, earning a commission. To become a facilitator, one can sign up through the “Dastak Facilitator” app, which currently works only in Lahore.
