QUETTA: The explosive fitted in a vehicle standing in a parking lot of Serena Hotel exploded on wednesday night killing four people and 12 other injured according to DIG Azhar Ikhram.

Deputy Commissioner Quetta confirms the four casualties and 12 injured in the Senera Hotel blast in Quetta.

According to the sources, the Chinese Ambassador was expected to arrive at the hotel and the blast occurred just minutes before his arrival.

Police, rescue officials, and Fire tenders rushed to the Serena Hotel parking right after the explosive blasted at around 10:15 pm on Wednesday.

Addressing to the media, Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said that there was a wave of terrorism in the region. “Our own people are involved in these acts of terrorism.”

Spokesperson of the Government of Balochistan Politician, Liaquat Shahwani said in a tweet “I strongly condemn the blast in the parking lot of Quetta Serena Hotel. Four people were martyred and 12 others injured in the blast The investigation is ongoing in every aspect. The perpetrators will not escape the law. Emergency imposed in hospitals. May Allah forgive the martyrs and heal the wounded.”

Hotel Serena is the only 4 Star deluxe Hotel located on the Shahrah-e-Zarghun Road, Quetta and Hotel is highly secured, Now the law enforcement agencies have to figure out the breach which caused this blast in the parking lot of the hotel.
