Pakistan Railways (PR) Police has launched a modern E-Police Mobile App to access the record of criminals. According to the details, the app was developed with the help of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and interconnected with criminal records of other police services, including the Punjab and Sindh Police.
The Pakistan Railway’s E-Police Mobile App would help police officers to easily check the movement of suspects at Railway Stations, criminals traveling by trains and trace theft and vehicles with fake number plates around the Railway Stations.
Furthermore, Pakistan Railways Police has trained 20 employees to operate the application.
In related news, the Pakistan Railways has also decided to set up CCTV cameras in trains in order to make travel more safe and secure. According to the details, the decision comes after multiple cases of sexual abuse and immoral activities being carried out on the passenger trains in recent years.
