Ramadan 2021 in Saudi Arabia to start from April 13

Ramadan 2021 moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia marking the start of the holy month from 13 April, announced country’s supreme court on Monday.

This will be the second year when Ramadan will be observed under precautionary measures set in place because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Authorities announced that only vaccinated and immune worshipers will be allowed to enter the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina and everyone performing Umrah at the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Makkah will require a permit or else they will face a hefty fine.

These permits will only be granted to those individuals who have been vaccinated against the infection completely. those who have had their first jab of the vaccination and 14 days have passed or individuals who have gotten the virus and recovered.

More people will be able to attend the holy sites during Ramadan 2021 in Saudi Arabia as five million people have received their coronavirus vaccination and the kingdom has been taking effective measures against the coronavirus, including placing travel bans for several countries badly hit with the virus.
