Royal Invitation: Honoring ASP Shehrbano Naqvi’s Heroism

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, has extended a prestigious invitation to ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi and her family for a royal visit to the Kingdom as a token of recognition for her courageous act of saving a woman from a dangerous mob in Lahore.

The esteemed Saudi diplomat conveyed this invitation during a special ceremony held in her honor at the Saudi embassy, where he commended her bravery and professionalism in handling the volatile situation. He assured ASP Syeda Shehrbano that the Saudi government would cover all expenses for her and her family’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

ASP Shehrbano’s heroic intervention occurred on February 26, 2024, when she rescued a woman from an aggressive mob in Lahore’s renowned market. General Asim emphasized the significant contributions of Pakistani women, highlighting their talent, perseverance, and commitment both domestically and internationally.

Furthermore, General Asim stressed the importance of social harmony and the imperative of nationwide consensus in combating intolerance. He underscored the significance of adhering to the rule of law and discouraged resorting to vigilante actions, emphasizing the importance of legal channels in addressing grievances.

General Asim also emphasized Islam’s principles of kindness and benevolence, stating that arbitrary actions based on hearsay undermine societal values. He expressed appreciation for the sacrifices made by law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of Pakistani citizens.
