Several Killed, Injured in Earthquake Related Incidents in Pakistan

An earthquake of 6.8 magnitude jolted Pakistan on Tuesday, killing several people and injuring over 160 others in quake-related incidents.

According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the earthquake has killed nine people, including five men, two women, and two kids,

Meanwhile, there are reports of at least 44 people injured in various accidents as a result of the earthquake.

According to the report, at least 19 houses across the province have been damaged by the quake.

Furthermore, a woman died in Lower Dir after the wall of her home collapsed during the earthquake, while a 13-year-old lost her life for the same reason during the earthquake in Swat.

Another person lost his life after the roof of his house collapsed, while almost 50 people were brought to Saidu Sharif Hospital in Swat with earthquake-related injuries.

There were at least 43 reported injuries in Lower Dir, while seven people were brought to District Hospital in Timergara of Lower Dir.

Most people were reportedly injured in a stampede during the earthquake.

In the twin cities, there are reports of several houses and buildings being damaged, but these have been evacuated with no loss of life.
