SHO Martyred & Two Cops Injured in Shootout at Tank District

In a tragic incident, a brave police officer, SHO Abdul Ali Khan, was martyred, and two officers were gravely wounded during a shootout between law enforcement and criminals in the Tank district. The altercation occurred as authorities carried out a raid on a criminal hideout.

“During a raid in the Tank district, a Station House Officer was martyred while two other officers were injured as hardened criminals attacked law enforcement,” stated police authorities.

The operation was conducted after receiving information on the presence of wanted criminals in the Karri Shah Noor area of Tank. Upon arrival, the police, led by SHO Abdul Ali Khan, encountered resistance from the criminals.

Upon confrontation, the criminals unleashed a barrage of gunfire on the police team, tragically resulting in the martyrdom of Officer Abdul Ali Khan. Additionally, constables Riaz and Akram sustained severe injuries during the terrorist assault.

The injured officers swiftly called for backup, initiating an intense and prolonged shootout with the assailants. Despite the prolonged exchange, the precise extent of casualties on the side of the criminals remains unconfirmed.
