Sindh Announces Public Holiday on Holi Festival

The Sindh Government has announced a public holiday from 18 March 2022 to 19 March 2022 on the occasion of Holi for all of its Hindu employees.

According to the details, the public holiday announced by Sindh Government on Holi applies only to the Hindu employees working at any public office, autonomous, semi-autonomous, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh Government.

NOTIFICATION

Furthermore, the Sindh Police has been directed to ensure foolproof security of the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi.

According to Hindus, the day of Holi signifies the arrival of spring, the victory of good over evil, end of winter, thanksgiving for a good harvest and it is also a festive day to meet, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and mend broken ties.
