Sindh Bans Pillion Riding Till October 9

The Government of Sindh has banned pillion riding across the province in order to avoid any untoward incident during the Chup Tazia and Rabi-ul-Awal activities.

According to the details, the ban on pillion riding will be applicable from 8th Rabi-ul-Awal 1444 A.H. (5 October 2022) till Eid Milad-un-Nabi on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal 1444 A.H. (9 October 2022).

However, the pillion-riding ban in Sindh is not applicable on women, children below the age of 12 years, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law enforcement agencies / securities agencies in uniform, and employees of essential services.

Pillion Riding Ban in Karachi

According to the notification, the pillion-riding ban will be imposed in Karachi’s Central District on the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal and in the District East on the 8th, 11th, and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.

Meanwhile, the pillion-riding will be restricted in District West on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal and in District South on 8th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.
