Sindh Declares Public Holiday on December 27

The Caretaker Sindh Government has announced a public holiday across the province on December 27 to mark the 16th death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

According to the notification shared by the Sindh Information Department on X (formerly Twitter), “The Government of Sindh has been pleased to declare 27th December, 2023 (Wednesday) as a Public Holiday throughout the province of Sindh on the occasion of Shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed for all offices, Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporations, and Local Councils under the Administrative control of Government of Sindh, expect the essential services.”

It is pertinent to mention that it will be the second public holiday in Sindh this week after December 25, which was an off-day to celebrate Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas. Furthermore, there’s another public holiday on Monday on the occasion of New Year.
