The Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) announced that private schools in Karachi will remain open today (Monday, 27 February 2023) after reports of closure being spread on social media.
It is pertinent to mention that reports were being shared on social media that President of All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF), Kashif Mirza, has announced that schools will remain closed in Karachi on Monday after murder of Vice Chairman, Khalid Raza.
However, a spokesperson of the Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) told a media outlet that schools will remain open in Karachi today (Monday, 27 February 2023).
Earlier, the Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Private Schools Federation, Khalid Raza, was shot dead outside his home by unidentified men on a motorcycle. According to the police, the murder was motivated by some personal enmity.
