Young Woman Fatally Crushed by Dumper Truck in Gulistan-e-Jauhar

Another tragic accident took the life of a young woman in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi area horrific accident involving a dumper truck.

The victim, identified as 23-year-old Sara Dukhtar Iqbal, was riding her scooty when she lost control on the rain-soaked road and slipped. Unfortunately, a dumper truck trailing closely behind her ran over her, leading to her immediate death.

The accident occurred in front of Noman Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the Shahra-e-Faisal police station. Following the incident, an ambulance rushed the victim’s body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for necessary legal formalities.

Sara was a resident of Shanti Nagar in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Faisal Gul, SHO of the Shahra-e-Faisal police station, explained that the heavy rain had made the road muddy and slippery, causing Sara to lose control of her scooty. The dumper truck, unable to stop in time, tragically ran over her.

Police promptly responded to the scene, seizing the dumper truck and moving it to the police station. However, the truck driver fled the scene and remains at large. A search operation is ongoing to locate and apprehend the driver.

Family members of the deceased arrived at JPMC to collect Sara’s body. The police have indicated that after recording statements from the family, a formal case will be registered at the Shahra-e-Faisal police station.

This incident follows another deadly accident in Karachi just a day earlier, where a woman driving an SUV at Karsaz lost control and collided with multiple vehicles. That crash claimed the lives of a father and daughter and left four others injured.
