Islamabad Faces Humid Heat; Rain Relief Expected Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Hot and humid conditions are set to persist in the federal capital today, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met Office) forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall beginning September 26, 2024.

Today, the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will drop to about 24 degrees Celsius by evening. The humidity level in Islamabad currently ranges between 43% to 45%, with light winds blowing from the northwest at a speed of 0 km/h.

The Met Office also indicated that most parts of the country will experience hot and dry weather. However, regions such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, Lahore, and Kashmir are likely to receive relief from the heat as moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated starting tomorrow.

According to the local weather forecast for Rawalpindi and Islamabad, there are increased chances of thunderstorms, hailstorms, and heavy rain in the region over the next 72 hours. Residents are advised to stay alert and prepare for potential weather disruptions.
