Amir Balaj Tipu, the son of Arif Amir, also known as Tipu Truckanwala in the goods transport network, was fatally shot in what police have termed a targeted assault near Lahore’s Thokar Niaz Baig area.
The incident took place during a wedding ceremony in a residential area close to Thokar Niaz Baig, where an armed assailant opened fire on Balaj Tipu, who had recently affiliated himself with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), resulting in his immediate demise.
Additionally, two other individuals suffered gunshot wounds during the altercation, as confirmed by law enforcement authorities. Meanwhile, the police reported that the assailant was also killed in the exchange of gunfire with Tipu’s associates.
Authorities stated that they are meticulously investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack and exploring potential motives behind it.
Balaj Tipu was the son of Arif Amir, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, who met a similar fate in 2010 when he was shot dead in the parking lot of Allama Iqbal airport.
