According to General Mahmoud Youssef Al Balushi, Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols of the Central Operations Sector, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from operating on Abu Dhabi roads during peak hours in the mornings and evenings. The intention behind this measure is to ensure smoother traffic movements, especially during the heightened activity periods surrounding Ramadan.

The timing adjustments will see the ban enforced from 8 am to 10 am in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain cities, with a focus on the morning rush hour, while in the evenings, the peak hours will be from 2 pm to 4 pm. Al Balushi emphasized the deployment of traffic patrols across all roads and the utilization of smart systems to enhance traffic control during this period of heightened restrictions.
