Two Policemen shot dead in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Two Islamabad Police personnel shot dead at Checkpoint No.26 in Tarnol Area G.T Road in the federal capital.

ASI Mohsin Zafar and Head Constable Sajjad were martyred while they were on duty at the checkpoint No.26 on G.T Road Rawalpindi to Peshawar route.

According to the initial police investigation, two gunmen were involved in the attack and they opened fire when the officers signaled for them to stop.

Two Gunmen on a motorcycle were involved in the killing of Policemen on duty with 30-bore and 9mm pistol, Also there were some scratch marks on the body of ASI Mohsin Zafar.

Both armed suspected escaped from the scene according to police, both terrorists were passing from Rawalpindi to Peshawar via G.T Road.

The bodies of both policemen shift to the hospital, IGP Islamabad Amir Zulfiqar Khan directed for the investigation and ensure to arrest both culprits.
