UAE Extends Remote Work Due to Heavy Rains

In response to deteriorating weather conditions across the UAE, government employees have been instructed to continue remote work from home. This directive, effective on Wednesday, April 17, applies to federal workers, with exceptions for roles requiring onsite presence.

Earlier announcements in Dubai and Sharjah extended remote working for federal employees until Wednesday, April 17. Additionally, private schools in Dubai will conduct online classes for students on the same day. Sharjah previously declared distance learning for private school students on both Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17.

On Monday, government schools in the UAE were also directed to implement distance learning on April 16 and April 17.
