The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an advisory, urging vigilance against deceptive or scam emails or calls seeking money transfers to pay university admission fee after falsely claiming association with UAE embassies and personnel abroad.

The ministry highlighted that scammers might seek “financial transfers for university admissions” or request “advance payment for scholarships.”

Emphasizing the importance of non-engagement, it urged recipients not to respond to such messages.

Anyone encountering such scams was advised to promptly contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the emergency hotline at 0097180024.
