JDC’s Zafar Abbas Meets Family of Lucky One Mall Suicide Victim

A young man committed suicide at Lucky One Mall in Karachi on Tuesday. The man, identified as 28-year-old Syed Zohair ul Hassan Abadi, jumped from the third floor of the mall to the lower ground floor and sustained critical injuries.

The man succumbed to his wounds while being transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital while police and rangers arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area and began an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, JDC’s Zafar Abbas reached the mortuary where the suicide victim’s body was being stored and talked to his brother regarding the incident to make awareness about mental health issues in our society.

It was revealed that Syed Zohair ul Hassan was receiving treatment for his mental health as he was under a lot of stress due to unemployment. The man was working online as a freelancer and earning just Rs. 5,000 per month. It is pertinent to mention that Syed Zaheer ul Hassan had graduated with BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, however, despite his education, the man was unable to find a job.

Lucky One Mall Suicide Incident

A young man committed suicide at Lucky One Mall in Karachi on Tuesday. The man, who was identified as 28-year-old Syed Zohair ul Hassan, jumped from the third floor of the mall all the way down to the lower ground floor. The incident occurred somewhere around 3PM and the police reached the scene immediately cordoning off the mall’s area and began an investigation into the incident. It bears mentioning that many media outlets are reporting that the suicide victim was a father of four kids, however, the news is incorrect.
