Abrar Ahmed Ruled Out of Upcoming Test Against Australia

Abrar Ahmed has been ruled out from the upcoming first Test match against Australia in Perth, set to commence on December 14th. Abrar faced a setback during a first-class game against the Prime Minister XI when he had to leave the field due to intense pain in his right leg around the knee area.

After a thorough assessment by the medical team, a provisional diagnosis prompted an immediate MRI scan, which took place on the same day. To address the issue, Abrar is scheduled for an intervention in Perth on Monday. Subsequently, he will undergo conservative rehabilitation under the careful supervision of the team’s medical staff to pave the way for his recovery.

While his status for the entire test series hasn’t been ruled out yet, a prudent approach considers Abrar’s well-being not just for the present series but also for future tours. Further assessment before the second test will determine his availability for the ongoing tour.

In response to a request from the team management, Wahab Riaz, the chairman of the selection committee, has given the green light to off-spinner Sajid Khan. Once his travel arrangements are finalized, Sajid will be on his way to Perth, adding a new dimension to the team lineup.
