Asia Cup 2022 – Highlights for Pakistan vs India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 28 August 2022 – India won by 5 wickets with 2 balls remaining.
India had won the toss and elected to bowl first and were able to restrict Pakistan to just 147 runs in the first innings as the entire batting lineup failed to perform, including Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman as both were sent back to the pavilion during the start of the game after scoring just 10 runs each from 9 and 6 balls, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan was able to score 43 runs out of 42 balls, while Iftikhar Ahmed racked up a score of 28 runs off 22 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to perform and barely scored anything except, Shahnawaz Dahani, who still managed much needed 16 runs off 6 balls towards the end of the innings.
India had a rough start to their innings as well with Kannaur Lokesh Rahul (commonly known as KL Rahul) being sent back to the pavilion very early into the game with no score. India’s captain Rohit Sharma was also sent packing early after scoring just 12 runs off 18 balls.
India’s Virat Kohli managed to score much needed 35 runs off 34 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja also managed 35 runs off 29 balls. However, Hardik Pandya guided India to victory after scoring much needed 33 runs off 17 balls.
