Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by six wickets during ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) match 19 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Karachi won the toss and elected to bat first, which was certainly the right decision as they managed to set a target of 202 for the Islamabad United.
Despite a rough start to the their batting with none of the batters able to score over 20 runs, Karachi Kings managed a respectable score of 201 runs for 5 wickets with the help of Imad Wasim, who scored 92 runs off just 54 balls.
Meanwhile, Irfan Khan also managed to add a much needed 30 runs off 30 balls.
Islamabad United also suffered an early loss of wicket in the start of the second innings with Colin Munro being dismissed for just 11 runs off 5 balls. However, Alex Hales managed to score 34 runs alongside Rassie van der Dussen, who scored 22 runs.
Faheem Ashraf also scored 41 runs off 32 balls, but it was Azam Khan who managed to get Islamabad United the victory with his 72 runs off 41 balls.
