Lionel Messi started the game against Toronto FC on Wednesday only to be replaced in the 37th minute due to an apparent “old injury”. Just a few minutes back, teammate Jordi Alba was also subbed off due to some discomfort.

Manager Gerardo Martino said that there was no chance that Messi would be in Sunday’s game which Inter-Miami will play against Orlando City.

However, there’s still no verdict on whether Messi will play in the U.S. Open Cup Final or not because it’s probably not a muscle injury. Every Messi fan will have to wait for a few days to find out.
