Reports suggest that Islamabad United is on the verge of signing Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah for the upcoming Pakistan Super League 2024 (PSL 9). Negotiations with Naseem Shah are reportedly reaching the final stages, as he faces challenges in finalizing a deal with Peshawar Zalmi.
In the midst of these negotiations, Islamabad United is engaged in discussions with Quetta Gladiators for a potential trade involving Naseem Shah. The team has indicated its openness to swapping Naseem Shah for any player from the Quetta Gladiators’ lineup.
Moreover, Quetta Gladiators have formally requested a two-day window during which Islamabad United will refrain from releasing Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan, as per reliable sources. During this period, Azam Khan is expected to be unavailable for Quetta Gladiators.
The PSL 9 draft is scheduled to take place in mid-December, immediately following the conclusion of the National T20 Cup.
