Quetta Gladiators won the toss the elected to bowl first but failed to restrict Islamabad United to a low total as they ended up setting a target of 230 runs for Quetta Gladiators to the game in the second innings.

Islamabad United never disappoints with their batting and this time was no different as Paul Stirling and Alex Hales both scored 58 and 5 runs off just 28 and 9 balls, respectively. Colin Munro, who came to the pitch after Alex Hales, scored a remarkable 72 runs off 39 balls.
However, Shadab Khan was sent back to the pavilion after only scoring 9 runs off 9 balls but Azam Khan made up for it by adding 65 runs to the score total off just 35 balls and helping set a target of 230 runs for the Quetta Gladiators to win the game.
Quetta Gladiators had a rough batting with Ahsan Ali scoring 50 runs off 27 balls, while opener Abdul Bangalzai could only make 14 runs off 13 balls. Meanwhile, James Vince was sent back to the pavilion without scoring any runs and others joined him very quickly, including Sarfaraz Ahmed and Ben Duckett, who were only able to score 11 runs each.
Shahid Afridi was also sent packing back to the pavilion for only 4 runs off 8 balls. However, Mohammad Nawaz and James Faulkner were able to add 47 and 30 runs towards the target of 230 set by Islamabad United but it wasn’t enough as the Quetta Gladiators were way behind the target by the end of the game.
Islamabad United won by 43 runs.
