In today’s 24th match of PSL 9, Islamabad United clashed with Karachi Kings at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Islamabad United secured a commanding victory, triumphing over Karachi Kings by 5 wickets with 8 balls to spare. They achieved this feat after efficiently limiting Karachi Kings to a manageable target.
Islamabad United won the coin toss and opted to field first, effectively restricting the Karachi Kings to a total of 150 runs. Karachi Kings encountered a challenging start, losing Shan Masood early on, tallying a mere 10 runs. Tim Seifert and James Vince’s contributions were modest, with 26 and 29 runs respectively.
The team faced further setbacks with the dismissals of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Nawaz, who managed only 1 and 5 runs respectively. However, Kieron Pollard’s resilient innings, accumulating 39 runs from 28 balls, proved pivotal in Karachi Kings reaching a competitive total.
